There has been a recent influx of congresspeople using religion as a backer for their arguments. This is ridiculous, since Americans have rights to free religion, yet are having New Testament ideals snuck into congressional bills.
What I am proposing is a bill or amendment that restricts this sort of behavior. All people in government positions should have a 3-strike system:
Strike 1: Exclude the offending official from the discussion, and the vote from the official is not counted.
Strike 2: Exclude the official from further discussions on the topic, and the votes from the official are not counted.
Strike 3: The official should be removed from office, and banned from further campaigns.
