While the government uses subsidies to spur new tech and innovation, those companies that receive the support don't regularly reinvest into their communities. If we shift support from mature industries (wind power for example) to teacher subsidies, we will be directly investing in the strength and intelligence of the majority of the US. Let's spur new ideas in our kids and let's pay our teachers a wage that will make them strive to produce quality students and great Americans.
