As it struggles through the largest municipal bankruptcy in US history, the time for urgent action to revitalize the economy and infrastructure of a great American city has come. The entrepeneurs, artists and risk-takers who rebuild urban neighbourhoods can do the same for Detroit.
We call upon the Obama administration to clear the way for Detroit's rebirth by authorizing a special class of visa, with a path to permanent to residency, for those who will commit to immigrate and reside in Detroit for a specified period of time.
