Thousands of years ago the Parthenon stood in its full glory and amazed all who looked upon it. Today it rests in ruin after earthquakes wars and pillaging. Democracy was first established under its shadow and continues to exude from its foundations the hope of a better way of life. I am aware that the American government has no jurisdiction in Greece but i think you should push for a global effort to rebuild this treasure of humankind as a symbol that the democratic spirit is strong.
