We the people feel that the current salaries of members of the government are sorely overpaid. Congress and the President get paid well over $100k a year, whereas an E1 in the military will make a total of $18,194.40. Most veterans can’t find a job, and some are even left homeless while former members of the gov’t never have to work again, and still collect a paycheck for the rest of their lives.
We need to change this. Recalibrate the pay scales for the Military AND the government. Significant pay increases for those in the military, especially those risking their lives on foreign soil; and a SIGNIFICANT pay DECREASE for the over-paid US gov’t officials. Job placement assistance and a GUARENTEED place to live for the veterans with NO STRINGS ATTACHED.
