Brazil, a country with the second largest economy in the Americas, has gone though a coup. Recalling the American ambassador to Brazil would be a simple action to help preserve democracy in a major country as well as demonstrate America's commitment to preserving democracy and the rights of people all over the world. Three other countries, at the time of this writing, have already recalled their ambassadors, all in South America, which demonstrates that the coup in Brazil could destabilize, not only the most populous and richest country in the region, but the region as a whole.
