Many veterans of our armed forces and federal civil service were displaced as a result of violations to civil rights and liberties following 9/11/2001. These veterans and their families have been left out in the cold to fend for themselves in the USA and abroad for years. Most have not been able to regain the same standards of living they had enjoyed while in federal service. Their loss is due to no fault of their own as well. These Americans contribute not only to the poverty in our nation, but they also increase the unemployment rates. These veterans are generally experienced and educated. Reemploying these experienced and educated veterans in government and industry within the USA and abroad, commensurate with their skills will help reduce poverty and unemployment in our nation.
