We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Recall the US Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova, Mr. James Pettit.

Created by M.I. on August 29, 2016

The statement made on August 26 on the Moldavian national TV channel by Mr. James Pettit, the US Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova, is the first position of an US official regarding the reunification of Moldova and Romania. IT IS A STATEMENT OF EXTREME GRAVITY that can SERIOUSLY DAMAGE the relationship between Romania and the United States:

1. ”Moldova IS NOT Romania”, an INSULTING response to the popular Romanian statement ”Basarabia IS Romania” (Basarabia is the old name of the Republic of Moldova)
2. ”Joining Romania ... as a means to get into the EU, or FOR WHATEVER REASON, ... is NOT a choice that will make things better here in Moldova”

The reunification of the two countries is a PRECIOUS GOAL for the Romanians living both in Romania and in Moldova (they are 85% of population).
