Recant the divisive comment President Obama made regarding the Treyvon Martin case.

Created by B.B. on July 19, 2013

We have supported our President and many have voted for him twice, but find that the comment "Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago" is divisive, ignorant and only serve to create a greater divide in our country's race relations. President Obama worked hard to put himself through some of the greatest schools in our nation, and by no accounts was violent, gang-obsessed and looking to procure illegal guns. Trayvon Martin could have walked away or called the police, but instead attacked and beat a man for LEGALLY following him. While the even was tragic, the majority of us believe the not-guilty verdict was correct and that this statement by the President only serve to divide an ever-fracturing country.
