To receive a paycheck Congress must do its job.

Created by S.B. on September 02, 2013

Congress is hopelessly deadlocked on the most crucial issues of our time due to endless partisanship. I suggest that "We The People" send a clear message. Compromise and do your job or you will not get paid. I am a manual laborer, if I don't do what I'm hired to do then I don't receive a paycheck. Our elected officials should be held to the same or a higher standard. Additionally, I suggest an end to our elected officials being allowed to vote themselves cost of living raises while the taxpayers are being driven further into debt. I'm 27 years old, and my 3 year old son will probably still be paying down the deficit of this era after I'm dead and he's retired. No more cost of living raises for all of our elected officials until the deficit is below 1 Trillion dollars, that's fair.
