I met someone at my school who didn't know who Adolf Hitler was in the 7th grade. Several 8th graders had no idea who Joseph Stalin was, or the length of the Vietnam War. I say that there should be a government-funded documentary miniseries on recent world history from 1900 on so that more young people know about what has happened in the last 115 years on this planet.
