Straight to the point , Mesa has a pay to play that is a $100 dollar fee for each sport that is played by the student, if the child plays more then two sports only $200 dollars is charged. Mesa Public School sports should be absolutely FREE. Hints the word Public? If you believe in a gap between rich and poor there is differently one that exist now. I have personal struggles and known kids, (again these are kids we talking about) that struggle to make the payments even with "Underprivileged Fee waiver." The truth is that kids don't always speak of the hardship they go through , my time at westwood I know a lot of teens that had been homeless, living with a friend, or with relatives. For a lot of these kids sports is the perfect stepping stool to a new life. I can't figure out why we must
