Recind the HHS Mandate and respect the freedom of religion and conscience of employers and small business owners.

This petition aims to end the HHS Mandate requiring employers and small business owners to provide employees with contraceptives and abortion inducing drugs or refer them to providers of these drugs as a part of their health care coverage. This mandate intrudes on the Constitution right of individuals to practice their religious faith by requiring these parties, without exception, to provide services which are contrary to the doctrines of their faith. The consequence of adhering to faith rather than this mandate is a "conscience tax," financially penalizing employers and business owners for applying their religious beliefs to their public lives. In order to adhere to the Constitution and prevent infringement of free exercise, this mandate must be rescinded.
