The purpose of this petition is to urge the Commander in Chief to reclassify the 2009 FT Hood shooting as an official terrorist attack. Currently the soldiers killed and wounded in the attack are classified as having suffered from a case of "work place violence" they are not eligible for combat related benefits or Purple harts. It is more than clear that this was a terrorist attack, specifically targeting our service men and women by a person with proven ties to Al Qaida.
