Reclassify all internet providers as common carriers and get rid of the 'fast lane' system to keep net neutrality

Created by M.7. on July 31, 2014

The internet is a medium in which information is brought to each and everyone one of us. The fast lanes system allows for data priority which eliminates the competition for the internet providers, creating monopolies which is illegal under the Sherman Antitrusts Act of 1890. It also stifles flow of information and news which, in a public domain like the internet is also stifling freedom of speech (a violation of the first amendment). The President needs to take executive action to repeal the fast lanes act enacted by the FCC earlier this year and keep data neutrality on the internet. Else the internet won't be this resource of limitless possibility anymore and the voice of the people will be shut down
