Reclassify cannabis (marijuana) and its biologically active chemical components from Schedule I to Schedule IV or V.

As marijuana is a relatively low risk drug for abuse--including low level of addictiveness, low short-term and long-term toxicity, and social disruption--and there is ample documented studies indicating its (and its biochemical components') usefulness in treating a range of medical conditions, it is the legal requirement under the Controlled Substances Act to reschedule cannabis and cannabinoids to a much lower category. This would both enable greater access for medical studies and signal a lower enforcement priority to the DEA and other law enforcement agencies.
