Mr. President,
I submit this petition for your consideration based on my own anecdotal experience with cannabis as a cancer patient. Without medical cannabis, I would not have survived cancer. After tumor surgery, I was left with chronic severe pain. No prescription drug would touch it.
I got an rx for medical cannabis, and started on edibles. The edibles allowed me to withstand the pain and live a life again, and sleep through the night. Without it I could still be suffering in painful agony.
Citizens who don't live in a medical state are suffering. You campaigned on relaxing the federal government response to medical cannabis, yet the DEA continues its assault on your fellow citizens.
I ask:
1. Have the DEA cease and desist.
2. Reclassify cannabis for the good of all Americans.
