Reclassify Enlisted Military Dogs from being Equipment once retired and return them home to the US with their handlers.

Currently, military dogs that are enlisted to help our soldiers in overseas military operations, are considered equipment and can just be left behind when their service ends. These dogs, given their service, sacrifice, and bond with their handlers, should be return to the United States upon their retirement/end of commission or service. They are not property or equipment to these men and women fighting overseas and deserve the respect and dignity of being brought home after valiantly serving their country. There are non-profits that do help bring these dogs home, but this should be done by the government that deployed them to the war zone. The costs would be minimal and it would lessen the stress on both dog and handler as they try for months to bring their fellow soldier home.
