Marijuana has been confirmed by the National Cancer Institute to have cancer fighting capabilities, has been proven to be less harmful than alcohol and tobacco, and has proven its merit in the States of Washington and Colorado, where the country's best schools now reside thanks to taxation since the legalization in 2012. We need to reform our laws around marijuana to allow for new medical research, and release non-violent offenders from wrongful imprisonment in state and federal prisons. Hemp can also be used to manufacture various wares and goods such as plastic, rope, clothing, even food, and only takes a fraction of the time to grow as wood. By reforming our laws on marijuana we can save our economy and skyrocket American job opportunities.
