reclassify marijuana from a Schedule I drug to a Schedule II drug.

Created by M.G. on January 28, 2014

Based on President Obama's recent comments regarding the risks of marijuana versus alcohol, we the people believe it is an appropriate time to re-assign marijuana from a Schedule I drug to a Schedule II drug, thus acknowledging that marijuana is less harmful than alcohol and boasts more medicinal benefits than alcohol could ever acheive in Americans' well-being. In addition, re-assigning marijuana from a Schedule I to Schedule II substance would allow transparent transactions between large banking organizations and medical institutions - a vital step toward funding cannabis-based research that may have potentially life-saving effects.
