Industrial grade hemp has only trace amounts of THC, but with regard to regulatory restrictions, it is inexplicably lumped with marijuana. This petition is asking that the two be separated so that the agricultural community is free to farm and develop hemp as is done in other industrialized nations. The positive environmental and economic impact from properly classifying hemp are well documented and it appears that there are no negative effects.
