Recognize the 2nd and 10th Amendment rights by prohibiting federal gun restrictions.

Created by M.G. on December 19, 2012

"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

Second Amendment: gurantees right to keep and bear arms. Upheld by the United States Supreme Court in District of Columbia v. Heller, 554 U.S. 570 (2008), and McDonald v. Chicago, 561 U.S. 3025 (2010), as well as other key landmark decisions.

Tenth Amendment

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

We propose that Congress finally recognize a limitation on their power as intended by our Constitution and PROHIBIT themselves from enacting gun control legislation as a state's sovreign right.
