Our country has recognized Kosovo as a country, but refuses to recognize others. Abkhazia, Nagorno-Karabakh, Northern Cyprus, Palestine, Western Sahara, Somaliland, South Ossetia, Taiwan, and Transnistria have all fought for their independence. Kosovo did the same and the United States recognized them, but now the US refuses to recognize these nations. Just like how the colonies did not like the British rule, we fought and won, these disputed countries did not agree with their government and fought and won. So why do we not recognize them?
