While Israel has been an ally to the United States in our nation's efforts to protect ourselves from terrorism, this relationship cannot be used to turn a blind eye to Israel's illegal operations in Palestine for the last 60 years. Israel's illegal and dangerous settlements in Palestine, often forcing citizens to live in poor conditions with no access to food, have been condemned by the international community countless times and consistently ignored by the U.S. government, save for President Carter post-presidency.
I propose that the United States Government discontinue its protection of Israel from United Nations resolutions by ceasing vetoes and allowing the international community to discipline Israel for their illegal settlements in Palestinian Territory.
