Mr President,
We petition you to recognize the selfless sacrifices that the men and women of the New Waveland Cafe & Clinic made in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. This ad-hoc group of citizens swiftly responded to the disaster zone and set up the largest and most successful disaster relief center in the entirety of the Gulf Coast. Mr President, several of the members of this group have since passed away from illness and accidents. It would be a terrible shame not to recognize them for all they did. Please don't delay.
