For years, people have stated that Super Bowl Sunday was a "national holiday." Let's make it offical. Since the game is always on a Sunday, there would be no need to close federal, state, or local goverment offices an additional day. Schools and post offices will not need to be closed. The financial exchanges will not have to shut down. Trash collection would not be delayed by one day. Nothing will change in our normal, everyday lives... except one thing. This petition would allow printing companies to freely use the phrase "Super Bowl", void of legal copyright action, when designating the date on a calendar.
Possible fiscal impact: No additional taxes will be needed to fund this request.
