recognize and qualify students of free open online courses for government aid.

Created by D.C. on March 07, 2013

The demand for high quality and inexpensive education has recently given rise to many free open online courses from prestigious university (e.g. Coursera, Edx), yet if you are enrolled in these courses you are not considered a student and thus your government aid is limited. If the we begin assisting these students with living expenses they will be able to easily afford school, focus on their studies and enter the work force sooner. Also, they will graduate with lower student debt, increase the level of education in America, and help build a strong economy. Therefore, we want the U.S. Government to recognize and qualify students of free open online courses for aid.
