Recognize Appalachian Americans as a Minority with rights afforded to them same as other minorities.

Created by A.C. on May 22, 2014

Appalachian Americans are clearly defined as persons living in or having ancestors from the Appalachian Regions of the United States. Appalachian Americans have for far too long been relegated to racist slurs & jokes & not given proper representation within our country as a disadvantaged minority. It is time to fight back. Anyone with Appalachian heritage or anyone residing in or from Appalachia should sign this petition requesting full minority status. Minority status will allow for better opportunities for college, educational needs, financial assistance and jobs for our region. Full minority status will allow us to be a cohesive people with a driving force of change & improvements for our region. Stand up and be counted.
