It's time for America to right a grave wrong in her history and finally recognize the Armenian genocide. Give justice to the 1.5 Million Armenians which were murdered by the Ottoman Turks. Taken from their homes, forced to march to death and often burned alive. This brutal period of history has gone unrecognized by the American government, much to the dismay of many of us who simply want a recognition. The current Turkish government refuses to recognize this event and American non-recognition has allowed this tragedy to continue to not be recognized in the broader international community. You not only owe history this recognition, but you owe it to the Armenian diaspora living in this beautiful country.
