The Armenian Genocide was an act of terror committed by the Ottoman Turks that killed 1.5 million Armenian people in 1915 - 1923. The Ottoman Turks ruthlessly killed Armenians in an attempt to rid of their race. However, Turkey denies this occurring and denies the severity of it. There is evidence proving its horrific caliber. Now, some countries accept the Genocide and admit that it was truly a major element in the history of the world. The Armenians deserve the recognition of the atrocities that were committed against their race, and as a way to show respect to the deceased victims.
