The Armenian Holocaust was a disaster for Western Asia. This genocide resulted in the death of 1.5 Armenians. Back in 2007, Democrats and Republicans recognized this as a genocide. However, Turkey still will not take the blame, and the currently, the White House is backing up Turkey. The Washington Post wrote, "Turkey is spending more than $300,000 a month on communications specialists and high-powered lobbyists, including former congressman Bob Livingston to make sure America doesn't recognize the Holocaust". The Honorable President Barack Obama has yet to recognize this as a holocaust.
