Assad is the legitimate ruler of Syria. To do this, we must stop all sanctions against him and recognize that the U.S policies in Syria have failed. On top of this, we must also recognize the YPG and their efforts to fight against ISIS and aid them in creating their own nation, Rojava and connect it to Iraqi Kurdistan. The Kurds need their own nation and Assad needs international support in fighting against the Islamic foreign fighters currently embroidered in the civil war against him. We must pick the lesser of two evils; Assad is much better than ISIS.
