recognize that the Constitution changes with the times & that sensible gun laws are needed regardless of politics.

Created by R.B. on January 14, 2013

The Constitution can still maintain its original, basic principles whilst living and changing. The Second Amendment was written with a feather pen and ink. For Originalists who argue that the Constitution is not to be tampered with, understand that at the time in history, the only guns that existed could fire only four times in a minute (if the person using it was trained). Assault weapons and semi-automatics did not exist. Technically, the Second Amendment wouldn't cover modern guns if the Constitution is NOT ever changing.
Thus, we call upon the administration to push for SENSIBLE gun laws (like universal background checks for public&private sales) & bans against the mentally ill being able to legally acquire a gun.
We aren't trying to 'take away your guns'.
We just want to feel safe.
