As a citizen of this country,I am deeply saddened to hear states are petitioning to secede from the union. The outlook of our country has been dismal at best for over the last 5 years and the people are becoming more divided by the day. The problem isn't democrat, it isn't republican, the root of the problem stems from our governments lack of ability to compromise. If we want to move forward as a country,we must meet in the middle. If that takes starting over in congress,so be it.
