I believe that we, the people of America, deserve better than clearly incompetent "prophets" telling us when the world will end every year, we desreve a strictly adhered date with which to plan our final days on a yearly basis.
There are many clear benefits to a holiday of this nature.
- It helps the economy by greatly increasing burst spending, "End of the World" sales are becoming a huge trend at the moment.
- It brings people together, though in fear, I believe the ends justify the means on this point.
- It creates an entirely new brand of Holiday card section, god knows it's been getting rather bland lately.
- It makes it far easier to weed out the crazies in one's life, for obvious reasons.
- The Mayan themes and decoration options would be endless.
