Recognize Endometriosis as a Disabling Condition

Created by H.W. on March 05, 2014

Endometriosis is a chronic condition that afflicts many women across the world. While some women experience minimal symptoms, for many women symptoms interfere with their ability to function on a day to day basis. Given that individual cases can vary greatly, a determination of disability cannot be made on diagnosis alone. However;

We ask that a surgical diagnosis of Endometriosis carry greater weight in decisions regarding disability cases. If this disease is recognized as disabling, then a surgical diagnosis combined with records of symptoms can help many women get the help they need to simply survive as they cope.

This is not a simple disease that can be passed off as 'just cramps' as it can effect any part of the body, cause countless symptoms and there is no cure.
