Endometriosis is a chronic illness affecting over 6 mill. American women. It is a gynecological disease in which endometrium tissue grows outside the uterus forming lesions. The lesions are most commonly found in the abdomen and bowel, but have been found in every major organ. Chronic stabbing pain and painful menses are the most common symptoms causing many women to be unable to perform their occupational duties. Other symptoms of Endo are pain with intercourse, bowel movements & urination, excessive bleeding, fatigue, depression & anxiety, diarrhea, constipation, bloating, nausea, scar tissue formation, & adhesions. It's also the 3rd leading cause of infertility. Most symptoms are found in the SSA's Listing of Impairments Part A. Endo is leaving many women unemployed and impoverished.
