Recognize Endometriosis under the Social Security Administration's listing of recognized impairments.

Endometriosis is a highly debilitating condition experienced by millions of women in the US, many more throughout the world. The primary symptoms are chronic pelvic pain, painful menstrual periods, infertility, miscarriage, fatigue and painful cysts. Endometriosis is also associated with immune disorders, which are already recognized by the Social Security administration as disabilities. There is no cure for endometriosis. At its worst, Stage IV endometriosis results in excruciating pain from chocolate cysts and adhesions (scar tissue) which cause such damage that only a hysterectomy can correct it.
