Recognize the Essentiality of Net Neutrality for America

Created by J.H. on September 10, 2013

Telecommunication companies today seek to limit the access that Americans have to the internet, creating a system in which financial leverage will hold more weight in the ability to find and access content than will public interest. The ability of the people to speak and share information is a protected right, which the Constitution states is not to be "abridged". However, abridging that right is just what these policies will do.

In today's society, the internet is the primary means of communication, expression, news reporting, and civic action in America. It is also the greatest resource available to small businesses, and the strongest avenue for personal betterment of individuals. Thus, we call upon our President to put the pressure on Congress, that the internet have proper protection.
