A gun has never killed a person and should not be blamed for killings conducted by humans. Fundamentally the responsibility of such actions can only lie with the human who conducted the action. Guns are not conscious beings with the ability to choose its actions or make moral judgements. Therefore guns cannot be the root problem or solution to the evil of gun killings. The heart of a human must be taught and learn the difference between good/evil and that human life is sacred. The responsibility for humans to be taught these truths lie within the life and social frameworks such as faith/family/parents/community of which have deeply broken down in America. The solution is giving and teaching a framework for living so that human hearts have purpose, love, and respect for human life.
