We often celebrate important figures in history but tend to forget about, or not recognize, the people who dedicate countless amounts of time, and even their entire lives, to documenting history. Without these individuals we would not have as much information and stories about some of the United States most important endeavors such as World War II, The Cold War ,The Vietnam War and many more events. I would like to purpose that February 21st be recognized as National Historian Day, finally giving the Historians of this country the recognition they deserve.
