Recognize the Fort Hood shootings as an act of terrorism

The Fort Hood shootings needs to be declared an act of terrorism based on Nadal Hassan's own words. He has declared America as an enemy of Islam and has stated his reasoning for killing his fellow soldiers was to protect his fellow Muslims. He has also called himself a soldier of Allah. As such, this cannot be construed as an episode of workplace violence, but as an act of terrorism against America. Also by declaring it an act of terrorism, the bravery of the soldiers who both died and survived may be duly recognized for their actions that day
