On July 28th, 2016, Hillary Rodham Clinton made history by becoming the first woman to accept a major party nomination. While she lost her bid for the presidency, she is the first woman to ever receive the majority of votes in a US presidential election. Her attempt to break America's highest glass ceiling will be the launching pad and inspiration for women all over the world to reach their own goals, and one day lead to America's first female head of state. We should honor her sacrifices and trailblazing spirit by declaring the day she accepted her nomination, July 28th, a public holiday - Hillary Rodham Clinton Day.
