On behalf of Lincoln Highway Association's Change.org petition, we ask President Obama to recognize the historic Lincoln Highway with its intended purpose, as a memorial to President Abraham Lincoln.
A designation as a national monument would be another great achievement for your administration and would help tourism in your home state of Illinois.
People visit our national landmarks but how many can actually say they live on or drive through one? A unique claim to be sure and a major drawing / selling point for businesses and homes along this historic route.
Neglecting our national treasures is something that we cannot allow. We must take pride in them and see to their stewardship. Plus, its logo and our flag share the same patriotic colors. USA!
