recognize human rights of both women and unborn children.

Created by C.F. on January 15, 2013

We advocate a culture of non-violence. Women are deserving of full recognition of their human rights, but that should not come at the expense of the rights of their children. We ask that President Obama take steps to safeguard the fundamental human rights of all -- women, children, the elderly, handicapped -- by recognizing that a just society provides the maximum level of social and economic support for women who find themselves unintentionally pregnant or pregnant in difficult circumstances, as well as the maximum level of social and economic support for their infants and young children, and careful, respectful support for adoption. The aborting of children conceived in such circumstances does not provide a just solution to any problem and violates the human rights of that child.
