Some of us still cling to your party because we have HOPE for change, even though we now struggle to "believe." Obamacare and troop "pullouts" were half-mast victories at best, yet we still have hope.
However, it is hard to hope for marijuana reform when your D.O.J. has begun raiding LEGAL state dispensaries at a rate which parallels the Bush era. Much of the country supports the complete legalization of marijuana, but that is not what this petition seeks. This petition asks only for the removal of marijuana from the CSA, so that doctors -in the 17 states which have ALREADY passed medicinal marijuana laws- may prescribe medicine to their patients. Half of the country now supports medicinal marijuana, so how many signatures from voters would you need to "evolve" on this issue?
