Individuals that have extremely rare medical issues CANNOT get the proper help that they need with food and SSI. These people are being told that the policies and procedures that they follow DO NOT cover them. So, all you here is "sorry we do not do that" and "I can't help you" and "our policies don't allow that." Then they are left with the hope that churches and food banks will help, but it is normally outdated canned food and they only help once every 3rd month. Which leave these individuals on the street with no food and no home because they DO NOT even get enough in SSI to have the basic things in life. Either they eat or have a roof over their heads or buy their medications and such. They DO NOT qualify for food benefits because they have SSI. These policies need an UPDATE or CHANGE!
