Recognize Iraq war vets with a parade through NY's Canyon of Heroes by the 10th anniversary (March 20, 2013).

Created by R.C. on January 12, 2013

The 10th anniversary of the start of the Iraq war will be upon us in March 2013 and it is time to finally recognize the 1 million+ veterans and the nearly 4,500 U.S. service members who gave the ultimate sacrifice in that war.

The Canyon of Heroes along Broadway in New York City has been the location of ticker-tape parades to honor war veterans from World War II to the first Gulf War and is the ideal location to honor Iraq war veterans and mark both the 10th anniversary and the end of the Iraq war.

We humbly ask President Obama to request the Pentagon and the Department of Defense to immediately coordinate with the City of New York and organize a parade down the Canyon of Heroes during March 2013 to honor all the living and fallen veterans of the Iraq War.
