Recognize that the Islamic Government of Iran is violating the fundamental rights of Arab Ahwazi ethnic minority.

Created by A.A. on February 03, 2013

We, the Arab Ahwazi minority in Iran, request that the Obama administration recognize that the Islamic Republic of Iran consistently violates the fundamental human rights of Ahwaz Arab ethnic minority and those of the other ethnic minorities of Iran. The IRI refuses to grant the Ahwazi Arabs the basic rights of free access to education in their mother language, free and independent media in the Arabic language, and free practice of their culture and customs. Activists who have tried to raise awareness of these issues have been abducted, handed disproportionately heavy prison sentences, tortured in prison, murdered and hanged in public. We request that the Obama administration includes the plight of the Arab ethnic minority of Ahwaz within the discourse on Iran.
