We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Recognize June 12th as "Pulse Memorial Day."

Created by D.T. on July 22, 2016

On June 12th, 2016, the Pulse nightclub of Orlando, Florida suffered a grim and grisly horror after a security guard took it upon himself to murder 49 people and wound 53. This has been classified as a hate crime due to Pulse being a gay club. As a member of the L(G)B(T) community myself, I feel as though more needs to be done in memory of the victims, living and deceased, which is why I propose that June 12th of every year henceforth shall be recognized as "Pulse Memorial Day." It is sad that we live in a world where people are literally losing their lives over being homosexual, bisexual, transgender, or otherwise. People are people, and a life is a life. NOBODY should have to suffer the way the victims of Omar Mateen suffered, and I believe that a day of memorial will help prevent it.
